April 17, 201313 yr Hello! I wanted to know if it is possible to make the race with only one issue in duenna. For me it is impossible to set the Real-WX warning light to green. It always stays in yellow independendly what I do. I tried lots of things, lots of solutions from internet and forum, but none of them works. I am going to start a race at Niska bush race 2013, and they let me race with that issue. But I don't know if the same issue is allowed in the world race. Of course I fly with real weather. With OpusFSX weather engine... (I tried of course the default real weather engine of FSX updates every 15min, and download upper winds on, and leave turbulences.. but nothing.. still yellow). And if I am allowed I wish to run it with the A2A P51 Civ. Thanks! Edited April 17, 201313 yr by jt_williams This post and replys have been moved into their own thred. April 17, 201313 yr Of course I fly with real weather. With OpusFSX weather engine... (I tried of course the default real weather engine of FSX updates every 15min, and download upper winds on, and leave turbulences.. but nothing.. still yellow). Try this. Start FSX. Set FSX real weather with 15 minute updates and download winds aloft. Complete a short flight (just take off and land). Now close FSX. Restart FSX. Your weather settings should still be unchanged. Once FSX has finished loading, Start the Duenna. You should now see green weather setting (the Duenna checks the weather parameters of the last flight to see if weather is properly set. If you use a realtime weather program instead of FSX realtime weather, then the weather setting will initially be yellow (caution). You can go ahead and fly and it will record your flight and if you complete your flight succesfully you will get a green duenna at the end of the flight. If your weather setting (or any other setting) is red (invalid) then you will get a red (invalid) duenna at the end of the flight. | Windows 11 | ASUS ROG MAXIMUS Z790 HERO | i9-14900K | RTX 4090 | 64GB CORSAIR VENGEANCE DDR5 | 4TB Samsung 990 PRO M.2 | 2x 4TB Samsung 990 PRO M.2 | CORSAIR AX1600i ATX Titanium | LG C2 42 Inch 4K OLED |
April 17, 201313 yr Author Thanks for the quick reply! Well.. I did that already and done it today also. I don't know how many things I have done already for making the yellow to green. No way. Not only a flight of taking off and landing but also going to other airports, 30minutes flying and more things like deleting the previous flight.flt because someone said that Duenna look there to see that the weather is real time. One thing I saw was that while in the free flight menu, the Yellow warning was already there also (also the red one because not being on ground).. but seems that the problem is related to something inside fsx maybe.. don't know. I made two test flyings in the Niska race and they think they are ok... I made them with Opus.. here they are. Please tell me if those would be valid in a possible world race: http://fs-duenna.com/flights/ShowFlight.php?flight=ApaBZ9se7CbmsKIoQGtjS5iR8hIhttp://fs-duenna.com/flights/ShowFlight.php?flight=pMTWwXPXNGMa4lGpMUhnzH38yaM Thanks! Please tell me if those would be valid in a possible world race: Not sure what you mean by possible world race, but if the rules of your race permit the use of non-FSX weather programs, then the answer is yes the flight would be valid. My reference to a "green" duenna is to the end of flight graphic jpg such as the one below: Note that it is surrounded by a green border and all four sections are "VALIDATED" The example below is a red dueanna which is showing only one section as "VALIDATED" You might want to review the details in the duenna text file that is produced as that will have the details of the parameters that result in the final duenna output. | Windows 11 | ASUS ROG MAXIMUS Z790 HERO | i9-14900K | RTX 4090 | 64GB CORSAIR VENGEANCE DDR5 | 4TB Samsung 990 PRO M.2 | 2x 4TB Samsung 990 PRO M.2 | CORSAIR AX1600i ATX Titanium | LG C2 42 Inch 4K OLED |
April 17, 201313 yr Author Good! Going to read those rules. Thanks!<br /><br />mmmm can someone point me where are the rules? and the route? Thanks!<br /><br />edit: Are they here?<br /><a data-cke-saved-href="http://www.fsrtwrace.com/" href="http://www.fsrtwrace.com/">http://www.fsrtwrace.com/</a><br /><br />I have seen that the race is over???!! It was a full time 1 shoot race? Or is open?<br />as I am reading more or less, it says I can choose the airports I want to land (except some countries and some airports) and I must land minumum in 3? or something like that.<br />So my questions are:<br /><br />1. If the race is over? what is now? Are people running? Is there a ladder or something?<br /><br />2. I wanted to make all the race in the P51 A2A civil... but I read something that I must choose a heavy aircraft also? Is it no possible to run all the race in one only plane?<br /><br />3. What is the limit of time to complete the race, if it is still on?<br /><br />Thanks! Javier Rollon. Owner of JRollon Planes for Xplane
April 17, 201313 yr The rules and history of the official RTWR can be found at this website: http://www.fsrtwrace.com/ The duenna is required for the official RTWR but can also be used to for other flying events such as SOH Spring event (the Western Roundup this year), details of which can be found here: http://www.sim-outhouse.com/sohforums/forumdisplay.php?6-Around-The-World-Race-Multiplayer-Events Or you can use the duenna to track your own adventure which is what I am doing here: http://forum.avsim.net/topic/404354-rtw-around-the-world-in-a-propliner/#entry2638413 Lots of ways to go, choose something that appeals to you. Good Luck. | Windows 11 | ASUS ROG MAXIMUS Z790 HERO | i9-14900K | RTX 4090 | 64GB CORSAIR VENGEANCE DDR5 | 4TB Samsung 990 PRO M.2 | 2x 4TB Samsung 990 PRO M.2 | CORSAIR AX1600i ATX Titanium | LG C2 42 Inch 4K OLED |
April 17, 201313 yr Author and can I do the race in only one plane? I saw listed the A2A P51 that I think is the good one for this. Thanks for the reply! Javier Rollon. Owner of JRollon Planes for Xplane
April 18, 201313 yr Author Well.. after some reading it seems that the world race was over. Didn't know it was an one shot event. shame. It is not fun to race by my own while there is no winning ladder.<br />Thanks for the info. Javier Rollon. Owner of JRollon Planes for Xplane
April 18, 201313 yr The RTW is an annual race. It starts on the 1st Saturday after Valentines day and runs continuously until complete (3-4 days). Its flown using a variety of aircraft and is done as a relay race to carry a virtual baton around the world given the rules of each years event (and the rules do change year over year). As for other events, they are done a little differently, they are usually on your own time, spread out over a period of time like a month and can be done online/offline etc.
