April 24, 201313 yr Greetings all, My hard drive just crashed, so I'm going to have to reinstall everything. Luckily, the current drive still works in safe mode, so it appears that I can save everything. I'm currently moving everything to an external drive, and will move that to the new drive once I get it. What is the correct procedure for reinstalling MSFS and the PMDG Addons? I still have the original FSX disc, so I'll obviously start from there. I know there are service packs, etc, but I can't remember the correct order to install them. Also, my current drive has a lot of info in the "app data" folders. Which of this info, if any, do I need to save? Or is this info re-generated when I install the program(s). Appreciate your help. Ron Priever
April 26, 201313 yr I always use this guide to uninstall: http://support.precisionmanuals.com/KB/a87/how-to-uninstall-and-reinstall-fsx.aspx, and I use NickN's guide to to re-install As for the service packs, I think the order is sp1<sp1c for the base pack<install 6700 expansion<install 6700 sp1c if it doesn't have it.
