I use VROUTE to plan and import my flight plans but is there a way to make a custom plan. Basically so i could takeoff fly a short route then return to the same runway (or same airport). I want to practise touch and go's and missed approaches using the auto features etc.

Just make your own plan.  Over-dependence on flight planning tools is going to severely limit your FS experience.  There's a tutorial in my signature that should help.
