it's been nearly 2 weeks since its release and I haven't flown anything else, period. I'm one of those fortunate simmers that didn't have any of the sound and/or bouncing problems (and I do feel for the users that experience those), but this Q400 is something else.

 

Not only are the systems great (my favorite is icing/de-icing features), the VC is simply stunning and not only does it look right - but also feels right with a great immersion factor, especially if you forget to turn on the window heaters..... I love the FDE (but please add some turbulence - hint hint) and especially how it handles during approach and landing. She's a handful if you're not used to it, but once you fly her by the book, she's a (almost) dream to land

 

What's particularly amazing is the performance on my system. While my system is tweaked per the avsim hardware guide and only a bit overclocked, I already have a pretty fluid FSX. But where the Q400 really stands out is once you add a complex airport, AI traffic, weather etc., I barely get a drop in performance and hence have been able to fly with AI traffic at levels into airports (e.g. LFPG) I've never been able to satisfactorily do before. Turn on the terrain and/or weather radar, nothing slows the performance down on my system!

 

So here's my thanks to Majestic for delivering an add-on that will get thousands of hours, hopefully from thousands of users, but surely from this one!!! I also love the sounds and the tiller for taxiing, I have a side stick I use for Airbuses and it functions beautifully as my tiller (via FSUIPC) for the Q400.
