May 6, 201313 yr My friend is having this problem where whenever he is running FSX where his Mouse cursor starts skipping when he moves it. He could try to move his cursor to one side of the screen and while he is doing it the mouse moves slowly over in steps pausing as he does it. It only happens when FSX is running. Any idea why this might happen? Another side note, it started after he installed the Captain Sim 777 but even after re installing it the problem has remained. Thanks for the help! Paul Smith
May 7, 201313 yr If it's a wireless mouse, most likely the battery is low. If USB, try plugging into another USB port. Best regards, Jim Jim Young | AVSIM Online! - Simming's Premier Resource! In my case such reaction is caused when FSX starving other programs of CPU. To test if this is the case, go to task manager and temporaryly turn FSX priority to idle. If issue resolved, then you may need to reduce FSX sliders, priority, or affinity permanently to allow for an overall smoother system, including mouse view response. Also try turning up priority of your mouse control program if you got such, example logitech setpoint in my case.
