May 11, 201313 yr For work, I have a Lenovo W520, a wide screen laptop. When traveling it becomes a luggable, if you remember those, especially with the power supply that is the size of a brick and near the weight of one too. When I went to Hawaii last year, it barely fit in the safe, I had to put it in on an angle with a roll of tape underneath one side. My next trip to London is coming up next month. I am considering getting something lighter, but it must be able to use Cisco VPN and Windows Remote Desk Top to servers. Once I get on a server, I can use the necessary applications like SQL Server to SSH to fix whatever. Yes, it'd be nice to run SQL Server Management Studio locally, but if I can RDP, it will be faster than a laptop. As for flight sim use...I use FSX pretty much a couple times a week. It'd be nice to be able to use the ipad apps as there seem to be more for ipad as opposed to Android. Can an ipad do Cisco VPN and RDP reasonably well? I would imagine the virtual keyboard would not cut it, so I'd get a keyboard and mouse adding to the overall cost. Any recommendations for or against one? 10700k / Gigabyte 3060
