Administrator permission for liveries

Featured Replies

I purchased the PMDG 737-800/900 and I am trying to get the liveries.   When I download and try to put it in the PMDG file,  it says I need Administrator permission.  I checked all kinds of websites to trouble shoot this and there seems to dozens of different ways, so far which have not helped.  I do have Windows 7.  Some say you need to simply right click the folder and selection "Run as Administrator",  but there is no "Run as Administrator" when I click.  I cannot find any "Run as Administrator" in my program files for that matter.  Any suggestions in how to get a livery in the right place and get Administrator permission?

Cray, if you browse to page 146 of the Introduction document that came with the NGX, it will tell you how to install liveries. I'm not sure you are understanding the concept.

I found the Livery Manager, but it does not work. Also, it is also blurry with the two icons where you add or delete liveries. When I try to add an airline, A Microsoft message comes up stating, "Livery Manager has stopped working". I reboot my computer several but the same thing still happens with the same message that Livery Manager has stopped working.

Update: I clicked run as administrator on the Livery Manager itself and it seems to work now. I was able to load an airline. I am sorry for the trouble. I am high maintanence when it comes to computer troubleshooting. I have not downloaded a livery in a long time and forgot that PDGM even had a livery manager. Thank you for the help.
