May 13, 201313 yr Hi all Currently running with the Realtek audio off the back of my Asus P8Z77-V motherboard. Would I see much benefit going to a dedicated soundcard like the Asus Xonar in FSX? Many thanks JJ Jason Jackett
May 13, 201313 yr audio quality is as good as the weakest link in your audio system. That means without good speakers, good amplifier, good cables.... new sound card cannot produce quality sound. At the end, if audio file quality is bad, the sound will be bad no matter what equipment you use. As I saw, some developers made good soundpacks for their addons, so I think one would benefit from good audio equipment. Never used Xonar, but I think the best entry line of products is Creative X-Fi. Lj. May 13, 201313 yr Author Thanks mate. To be honest I was thinking of the benefits in terms of offloading the processing rather than sounds quality as such. For example, with Pro ATCx sounds, I can sometimes perceive a bit of a stutter in frame rate. I'm running the latest sound drivers. JJ Jason Jackett
