Thanks Pirata!-I'll check this setting.

Carrot root-that is nice looking moving map platform. I have that with wingx on my iPad that works very nicely with xplane. An ifr certified gps unit along with hopefully hardware integration is what I am after. If Pirata's suggestion works I'll be able to continue to use reality xp's gps though would sure like to get my hardware that works with the default gps to work with the reality xp unit.

Pirata-I did have "Compress Textures to save VRam" ticked....

So I tried unchecking it-now seems to be doing fine (crossed fingers).

Now I discovered something by accident that makes me the biggest happy camper!!! :Applause:

Go to joystick/advanced -check custom commands from plug ins-click a few directories to reality xp-and within minutes I have my Desktopaviator gps buttons programmed. This not only was tons less painful than doing it thru fsiupc in fsx, but the response is faster. This just made the sim for me! Fantastic! ...and if I can recommend-the reality gps unit with this low priced (under $100) gps unit is the best bargain in simming I've ever come across. Now if it could only work in 64 bit!!! (actually who cares about 64 bit with this reality working!!!).
