May 14, 201313 yr ok. rob replied as very serious or angry lol Well to be honest, after putting the work in that they do into the product, then getting told by people that have limited (or none) knowledge/experience where FSX development is concerned, saying that it's all wrong - it would be very frustrating! People started saying it on Facebook - they can't enjoy the photo for what it is and trust PMDG know what they're doing. No wonder they don't like releasing screenshots whilst it's still in development  - Luke Pabari
May 14, 201313 yr RSR: And when in doubt just remember that we know what we are doing. We aren't a bunch of teenagers playing with Mc3DModel after school... ROFL
May 15, 201313 yr There is nothing wrong with the engine what so ever. These guys do know what they are doing. Not only at a guess im sure they use proper blueprints and tech info from boeing. So as RSR said previously let it "B" Steve This post can be found here http://forum.avsim.net/topic/408020-engine-proportionsize-wrong/
May 16, 201313 yr Commercial Member We literally overlaid our model in 3ds Max with a side profile pic of an Aerologic 777F - it's 100% correct. FSX's cameras and the angle the shot is taken at do weird things to the perspective. It bulges out stuff toward the center and can make things look longer than they actual are. We have engineering diagrams that show the precise lengths and angles for everything regarding the engine nacelle, pylon, exhaust cone and so on - they're all exactly to spec in the model. May 16, 201313 yr This is also why its critical to set a proper zoom level in the VC or stuff won't look right. Alex Jevdic KORD/KHOT/KPWKA<380 love at first flight
