Level-D 767 screen resolution problem

Featured Replies

Hello all,

just reinstalled the trusty Level-D 767 after a fairly long time. Much to my dismay, I now get black screens after selecting the Level-D menu in the simulator (full-window mode) but also FS' own menus (for instance, load&fuel). I did a quick search and it seems that quite a few others have had this issue as well, and a common solution was to turn down the resolution. I did that and guess what, it works flawlessy! But of course, I am not hell-bent on keeping the resolution lower than possible... Previous PC max. res was 1440x900x32 (´76 working fine) and now I can enjoy FS on 1920x1080x32 (´76 not working well). I am using, just like before, WinXP 32bit. Are there perhaps any other tricks how to use the Level-D with the max. possible resolution? Many thanks in advance.

I had this issue too, but it was a couple of years ago. I did solve it without having to reduce my screen resolution, but I don't recall how after all this time (helpful, I know!). I am pretty sure that the solution was explained (by me or someone else) in one of my posts here, so search for martinlest2 and see if you can find a thread re. the Lvl-D 767. The post may have been on the Lvl-D forum itself, but I always preferred to come here first, so it's probably on AVSIM's alternative Lvl-D forum..

Good luck!
