Hi, I´ve just started to enjoy MCE but I have this doubt:   

 

When I press the ppt the ATC windows appears. The MCE understands my comm but it doesn´t back me to the fsx´s window so I must click it to get back to the sim.

 

Is this normal or maybe there is an option to avoid get out from fsx each time I talk with ATC?

 

I´ve searched in the forum and google but the only info than I found it's this

Are you using a joystick button to zoom the view in FSX?

Nop, I don't. I have configured the ppt in one yoke's button. BTW I disabled the FS default joysticks settings because I configure them thru FSUIPC (and that button has not any key or function assigned, only the settings in MCE).

We assume you haven't set FSUIPC to emulate the DEL key by pressing a joystick button.

 

MCE reads the joystick info directly using DirectInput (part of DirectX)

 

Try this...

 

Go to FSX installation folder and open "fsInsider.ini" file

 

Change "RestFocusOnJoysticZoom=0" to RestFocusOnJoysticZoom=1"

 

Save the file

 

Restart FSX and see if it makes a difference.

That option did not appear in my fsinsider.ini. I included it in the [OPTIONS] tag and now it's working correctly.

FYI that option wasn't intended for everyone.

 

A while ago, a French user noticed this inherent bug with FSX, whereby upon using the joystick button to zoom around the VC and the ATC window appeared the zooming gets disrupted.

 

We tried to help him out with that option, which basically resets the focus to the main FS window every time the ATC window appears.
