Just had something interesting happen. I just happened to notice that the "Outboard Leading Edge Slats" will not extend (animate). Has anyone else experienced this problem? All things seem correct in the aircraft.cfg and aircraft.air files.

Well Ryan, I found the option to select "Advanced Animations" in FSX. That solved the issue. All I can say is that I learned something today. Thanks for responding. Time to go fly!!!!
