Al, I figured it out. Go to your Texture folder in the main aircraft folder, and delete the file Gound_Lights.bmp. An easy way to do this without deleting the file, is to change the extension from ".bmp" to ".off" This will remove the unrealistic strange lights effect. Stephen

Al, 10-4. Thanks, Stephen
-
Al, I too wish there was a way to get rid of this unrealistic effect. It is not directly tied to any lights. It is quite bothersome. I have tried everything. It seems to be tied to an xml gauge in the Learjet.CAB file. Not really sure. But it sucks.. Big Time... Stephen

Aircraft Brightness
sacrayton replied to sacrayton's topic in P3D Tweak Assistant (PTA) and RealismShaderPack
Ed, Thanks for responding. I will proceed as suggested. Happy Holidays, Stephen -
Can anyone tell me what tweak in PTA to change to get more light on aircraft at night? HDR Night Tone Map in the P3D.cfg file has an effect. But it makes everything brighter, even the night sky. I guess I am looking for more moonlight shining on my aircraft.... Stephen

PTA 2.66 and 4.5 HF Hot fix?
sacrayton replied to Emile's topic in P3D Tweak Assistant (PTA) and RealismShaderPack
Adam, Can you please help me. I downloaded your tweak and want to give it a try. I have installed PTA v2.66. But I have errors... reset B:\Flight Simulator Downloads\Prepar3D\PTA\P3Dv4\v2.66\MattDaviesJuly2019.ini loaded Prepar3D 4.5.13 build 32097 detected as target verson Shaders cache directory found at C:\Users\Stephen Crayton\AppData\Local\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4\Shaders\ Prepar3D main configuration file found at C:\Users\Stephen Crayton\AppData\Roaming\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4\Prepar3D.cfg ERROR: shader file C:\Program Files\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4\ShadersHLSL\General.fx is not original Prepar3D shader and can't be used ERROR: shader file C:\Program Files\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4\ShadersHLSL\GPUTerrain.fx is not original Prepar3D shader and can't be used ERROR: shader file C:\Program Files\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4\ShadersHLSL\PostProcess\HDR.hlsl is not original Prepar3D shader and can't be used I uninstalled my P3D client, re-installed to rebuild default shaders. I saved the shader folder (ShadersHSL) and then re-applied the tweak. I received the errors as copied above. Stephen -
Can someone help me with setting up the tiller function in P3Dv4? I have a registered copy of FSUPIC. Regards, Stephen
-
Ephedrin, It actually can be installed in your main P3D directory, for I have accomplished that. You can maintain the addon.xml file in a folder in your documents, but you must edit all of the paths therein noted to their new location. Not really hard to do. Stephen

LearJet 35 Landing/taxi lights not illuminating ground
sacrayton replied to BobKK47's topic in Gates Learjet 35A
No problem here my friend. I have modified the landing and taxi lights to brighter effects. Check these babies out!!!! https://www.dropbox.com/s/9j44odb2hubvuo7/FLYSIM L35.PNG?dl=0 Stephen -
Considering the fact that home cockpit building is the new age of flight simulation, due to the advent of a fully immersible sim, let's hope the PMDG Team is smart and produce the Max which can be integrated into cockpit hardware. Maybe I am being selfish since I just purchased the new FDS 737Max Cockpit! https://www.dropbox.com/s/72dcjsohf3a6r11/737Max.JPG?dl=0 Stephen A. Crayton

I agree with windshearDK...I can just fly it home!!!! Stephen Crayton

PMDG site has the QOTS listed as $325,000,00000 and the BAe J4100 at $5,000,000.00! I hope there are no shipping charges in addition to these prices! Stephen

Roar, Thanks for the reply. I am actually aware of the OpenCockPits Hardware and the OC4BA script. I have actually had correspondence with the script developer. But I am leaning towards a FlightDeckSolutions hardware cockpit. We shall see how things develop. Oh and by the way, I only fly PMDG!!!! Stephen Crayton
