I have tried over and over again to log onto VFX Central, but I forgot my password. I click the link to reset password, but I do not receive the email allowing me to reset it. After turning on battery power and activating avionics switch, I do not get any radios. But when I hit the test button, the radios flash momentarily. Stephen

Keven, I want to thank you so much for your help. To All: Keven requested remote access to my computer and we coordinated a time to help me with my problem. We found the issue, and now after returning from my vacation, all is working. Keven was quick to help me resolve my problem and allow me to enjoy the simulation experience with the PMDG 737NGX that I have be waiting for. No disrespect intended at all. I apologize if my posy was misconstrued to be as such. I did read that it works better with DX10. I have DX11 on my machine. Could that be an issue?

I do now have the User Manual and will read through to see if I can get the software to work.

I was so excited about the Immersion Effects for the PMDG 737NGX being released. I have the 777Immersion and was just amazed at how it truly increased the simulator experience. But I cannot get the 737Immersion to work. You can see all of the entries in the aircraft config file under [smokeSystem]. The effects files are all in the Effects folder. Upon depressing the "I" key, the effects all react at once. So I know the effects are there, but cannot get to to work. I do have a question though. I have never received my serial number for my software. Could that be the problem in that it needs to be activated? I thought the activation was automatic through my account? Next issue is that I cannot download or view the User Manual through VFXCentral. Stephen

Who ever said it was level or had a negative pitch? It only slightly changes the pitch. You absolutely cannot fly a plane with "0" pitch. Defies the laws of flight dynamics when it comes to an airfoil.

If you want less of an angle at cruise, go to the aircraft.cfg file and under "Flight_Tuning, change the Cruise_Lift_Scalar to 1.2 or 1.3. The more the Cruise_Lift, the less angle of attack. But too much affects approach attitude. I usually fly at 1.3 with all my birds with no problem.

Jim, Thanks for responding, but that is not what I am referring to. The aircrafts do not display "wind speed and direction" in either the Nav Display nor aft Overhead Panel. It has always functioned properly, but for some reason it will no longer read the weather. I have uninstalled and re-installed the aircraft, but trying to come to some solution before going to the extreme of uninstalling and re-installing FSX.

How does the PMDG aircrafts communicate with weather? (ie: Wind Speed and Direction?)

I am having an issue with the NGX not reading the wind direction and speed. It is not being displayed on the Overhead nor in the Nav Display. This causes the aircraft to respond oddly. I am using ActiveSky 2012 with Vatsim Weather activated. Anyone else ever experience this issue. Is there a module missing?

All you have to do when that happens is to hit "CTRL+Backspace!" It resets the seat and view. The you can readjust using teh "+" or "-" keys to reset the view to your liking.

With the ILS Freq tuned on both Nav Radios, and course heading set on MCP,capture the Localizer and, and once established, go to APP mode.Once the G/S has been captured, the PFD will indicate "Single Channel Only." Once you see that, you can hit the second CMD Button, She will continue descent until 1500ft AGL and then go into Land 3 or CMD Mode, depending on which backup instrumentation you choose. This will indicate that the Autoland is active.

I use the Cockpit Dome Light on the Aft Panel when at the gate setting my aircraft up during night hours. it is linked to the Standby Battery Bus. I then extinguish this light after start-up and pushback from the gate. But if I need to flood the cockpit during night, I just hit the "I" key. It will only work with engines running. .

In simple terms it means "Altitude Acquired." Pretty self explanatory. Have fun!
