Question about real plane

Recommended Posts

So, I'm flying with the PFD as aid to center the plane on ILS during an instrument approach.

There is a backup horizon gauge above and to the right (analogue). It _looks_ as if the caret at the top should also identify nose on center, but of course it's offset to the right.

Is this true in the actual TBM850 as well? Takes getting used to at first.

check this video and advance it to 4:03 :-)

the carrot at top is a more precise measurement of the angle of your wing...sometimes if your wings are only a few degrees off from being level it can be difficult to see that by just looking at the horizontal wing on the gauge...so the carrot helps you to be more exacting.
