FSX Fatal Error - Not OpusFSX

Featured Replies

It appears that OpusFSX might be causing fatal errors for me. Maybe it's just coincidence, but I never get a fatal error when I just start FSX without Opus. However, when I open OpusFSX and then start FSX, 90% of the time I get a fatal error on the opening screen. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks.

Edit...

OpusFSX cannot cause fatal errors within FSX, it interfaces entirely through the SimConnect so any fatal errors have nothing to do with OpusFSX, other than you may have detailed and varied RW weather injected.

You should start opus after FSX, try that. Not saying that is your problem, but try it and see what happens.

Opus does nothing to cause fatal errors within FSX. All it does is inject RW weather and initialise your configured camera view. If you FSX is failing as soon as its asked to do anything such as load weather or display a view then you should look at your FSX and not think Opus is causing it to fail by doing something wrong.

WOW, it was meant as a nice response. Just reassuring you that the Opus interface through SimConnect is unlikely to cause FSX to fail.

From my experience with having FS crash on startup has been caused by some addon I have put in whether it is scenery or aircraft. Running third party addons has never caused my FS to crash. Things I install and addon to have.
