  1. Thanks. I have started to go through the guide and I am on the Missing Textures/Objects section. I have entered the lines into my CFG file and after loading the NGX I am getting a "Failed to load texture: GAUGEFIFTEEN" and the same message for "CBTEXTL". After selcting "OK" the flights continue with no problems. Could this be the problem for the freezing do you think? Thanks for the help.
  2. I ran the log and this time when it froze was also just over one hour into the flight. The log showed 2097288 KB remaining, which converted to 2.00013 GB.
  3. Thanks! This sounds like it is most likely the problem. I will set up a flight later and see how much I am actually using. Is there a fix for this or is the solution to turn down display settings? Thanks again.
  4. I am going to bump this topic. I have not had access to FS for the past few months and when I got back I decided to reinstall everything. I reinstalled Windows 7 64-bit, FSX, and all of my addons. However, it still seems to freeze mid-flight. Last night, just over one hour into the flight, everything froze and task manager showed "not responding." I don't know what could be causing this and wanted to see if anyone had any ideas. I looked at AppCrashView and it doesn't look like anything failed. I have posted the results below. If anyone has any ideas why FSX would stop responding that would be great. Would Prepar3D be a better option? Thanks for any help. 5. I was able to get it fixed. I installed an older video card driver and this fixed the issue. I then uninstalled the ethernet driver and reinstalled it. Everything is up and running and I will be doing a test flight tonight. Thanks for your help.
  6. I do not think my computer is recognizing the video card. It shows the card being used as Standard VGA Adapter. I have tried to install the driver via by downloading the Catalyst Control Center but it fails to install the AMD Display Driver. All other drivers are installed fine, such as the HDMI Audio Driver. System specs are: Motherboard: GIGABYTE|GA-Z77X-UD3H Z77 1155 R CPU INTEL|CORE I5 3570K 3.4G 6M R Video Card: Sapphire 6950 Flex Edition 2GB 256-bit GDDR5 CPU: Intel i5 3570k Running Windows 7 64 bit. Thanks.
  7. I followed the system repair guide and completed that. Now I am not able to even access FSX. I get an error stating "This graphics card does not meet minimum requirements for shader support." I tried updating the driver and that appears to have failed. I am also not able to access the internet now as my network card is not working on the motherboard. Not really sure what to do.
  8. Looking at the log, a few of the corrupt files are: msafd.dll, mprdim.dll, KBDPASH.dll, mprapi.dll, and DocumentPerformanceEvents.dll. I will work on doing a system repair. Thanks
  9. Thanks. I will look into this later tonight. I looked at the file that stated the corrupt files but it was very long and confusing. I was unable to decipher it. I will take a look later and see if I can grab a few file names.
  10. I tried the test and got the result stating that system files are corrupt but it was unable to repair them. I decided to do a flight last night and FSX froze on descent. The AppCrashView results are posted below but I am not sure anything useful is in them. I am running FSX, addon sceneries, PMDG NGX, TrackIR, and OpusFSX. Any ideas what it will take to fix this? 11. Out of my past 5 flights, 3 of them have frozen. I checked AppCrashView and it shows the fault names as KERNELBASE.DLL for the first crash, PMDG_737NGX.DLL for the second, and StackHash_091f for the third. Are these random crashes or would something be causing this? I did not change anything on my system, it just started happening. Thanks for the help.
  12. I have buttkicker and love it. Would love to see a turbulence feature!
  13. I use the profile "Seth-Flight" and have used it for years. Works great for me. http://forums.naturalpoint.com/viewtopic.php?p=38620#p38620
  14. I built my own computer and upgraded the majority of the parts about 6 months ago. I am using an Intel i5 3570k CPU with Zalman CNPS11X Extreme CPU cooler. I don't know a lot about overclocking but is it recommended for FSX? I am running the majority of North America scenery addons, NGX, etc. I get great FPS now but figured overclocking might up things a bit. Any advice and recommended guides? Thanks for the help.
  15. Just had this happen again. Anybody have any ideas? This time it happened while clicking on FS2Crew.
  16. I'm currently flying with FSX and have had a problem on 2 flights recently. I am using the PMDG NGX and while level at cruise my VC will vanish and turn into a black rectangle. The scenery covers the upper half of the screen that I can move around smoothly, while a black rectangle covers the bottom half. I go to the top where my views selector is and select Virtual Cockpit and it comes back very laggy and with a flickering mouse. All of the lights in the cockpit seem to dim as well. I wasn't sure whether this was a PMDG error or FSX error so I decided to post it here. Anybody seen this before or have any ideas why it did this? My flight is currently lagging pretty bad with around 7-8FPS, I was getting around 30 before. Thanks.
  17. I tried it out last night and it worked great. Might have had a slight FPS drop from normal but it wasn't anything bad. Not sure how it compares with frames from the last version as I didn't fly into MIA enough to really notice. Love the scenery though. I recommend it.
  18. Looks great! Will probably be trying this out tonight.
  19. Any chance of getting a multiplier like this on the NGX?
  20. Hey guys, Purchased the Majestic Dash 8 today and I am having trouble getting my throttle to align. I want idle thrust to be idle in the plane, but it always goes about half reverse. I have set the values in the config manager to the value that I show as idle in the manager. Anyone have any idea how to get this working properly? Thanks.
  21. KIAH could definitely use some nice payware. Hoping FSDT picks it up.
  22. Thanks for the great explanation. I was running OpusFSX so that might have been the problem. I also have the BufferPool tweak so I will take a look at that. Thanks again.
  23. Thanks for the help guys. I followed the suggestions and it was working great. I was on a flight today, beginning descent into ORD, and FSX froze. I got a 'not responding' message and had to exit FS. Not sure if this is considered a fatal error or if this was just a random freezing.
