June 7, 201312 yr Hi I am getting vertical clouds columns while flying using fsx and opus. I have flight environment installed. they are not there all the time and appear randomly Any ideas appreciated Thanks Stevie
June 7, 201312 yr Commercial Member This is a known FSX anomaly, I believe the vertical cloud like structures were meant to show falling rain in the distance but with modern day installed textures and weather they don't always coincide themselves with the actual cloud formations. No weather engine selects or positions the clouds, its just an FSX thing, same with these vertical rain clouds. Stephen

We corrected an anomaly with the handling of TCU and CB cloud depths which may have resulted in some strange behaviour of FSX, displaying rain at high altitude and trying to depict distant rain fall with those strange looking vertical cloud structures.
