June 12, 201312 yr I have the old original Briefing Time B-25J Mitchell CD for FS2002. I have downloaded and installed the update for FS2004 and the bird flies beautifully in FS2004. I have also downloaded the 2004 to FSX update, and installed it. The aircraft and panel display just fine in FSX, but every time I click on a toggle/simicon shortcut or try to bring up a secondary panel from the views>Instrument Panel options, FSX closes down. I thought I had this going at one time, but after I upgraded to Windows 7, I never tried reinstalling the B25J into FSX until now. Any ideas as to what I am doing wrong, or Is this old version not compatible, even by installing the updates? I had no problem with the R4D-6 flying in FSX (It is from the old original early version CD with updates as well). Respectfully:: RTH Edit: Told a fib but did not know it. In FSX I just selected one of the RFD-6 / DC3 birds and had the same problem. It has been a while since I selected and flew these, but they were installed and flew fine some time ago in FSX.
