June 28, 201312 yr I went into the scenery/world/scenery and renamed the Trafficxxxxxx.blg to a bgh file. But my ATC still give them traffic but I don't see them I use RAdar Contact for my ATC this don't seem to be a RC issue what can I do to get rid of the default traffic so I don't hear them
June 28, 201312 yr Hi. Do you still hear traffic communication if you fly without RC, just with the default FS9 ATC when the bgl is disabled? If not, ensure in the RC General tab that pre-recorded chatter and AI chatter are switched off (though you should only hear the latter if there is an active traffic file for the nearby air). It may also be that you have an extra traffic bgl installed with an addon airport. Not sure how you'd track that one down. Looking for one rogue file in a whole set of scenery layers can take quite some time, even if you do the half-of-a-half-of-a-half thing... Cheers, Dave

To be clear about this, the only times you should rename Trafficxxxxxx.bgl are: 1) if you intend to replace FS9's stock AI traffic with something else (e.g. Ultimate Traffic, WoAI, etc.), and; 2) if you don't want any AI traffic in the sim at all. What RadarContact may or may not be doing with AI traffic which apparently doesn't exist in your sim, I do not know. I haven't used RC in many years.
June 28, 201312 yr I think that RC generates random ATC chatter. RC4 0nly generates random ATC chatter if you enable it. We do not recommend that as it just adds to the performance load on RC. The options AI Chatter coupled with Interact With AI will generate ATC chatter for AI aircraft present. They must be on the same phase of approach, departure, ground, and center (and for center in the same altitude strata) and correct com1 frequency. I believe this user ran Traffic Look, a free utility that runs with fsuipc, ( http://forum.simflight.com/topic/66136-useful-additional-programs/ ) and he observed the default airlines. That thread is at: http://forum.avsim.net/topic/412141-rc-and-default-ai/
