June 30, 201312 yr Just a note to say that AVSIM haven't posted the release details of this scenery on their landing page? The scenery is amazing and thought it would be recognised along with all the other fine developers with an announcement........ Just raised it as I my first visit is to AVSIM to go through the release announcements for all add-ons whether it be airports, scenery or aircraft.
June 30, 201312 yr Generally speaking, if we are not sent a press release, we probably are not going to post news about any release. I doubt that they would either do that, or advertise with us in any case.
June 30, 201312 yr Author That's cool Tom. Thanks for that. Avsim is always a great spot to check what's going on. They would certainly grab the interest of quite a few if they did let you know. Anyway, thanks again. Happy flights.
June 30, 201312 yr No offence but over the last few months I have almost stopped looking at the AVSIM front page specifically because of it's lack of release announcements. Any release action is in the forums. gb. YSSY. June 30, 201312 yr It looks like the best regional scenery from ORBX yet, even nicer than Australia but i'd have to purchase SCO to compare them. Once they solve (if they ever) that weird switching system of theirs, i'll be happy to purchase all the remaining regions from them. Shame, because they do look outstanding. July 1, 201312 yr No offence but over the last few months I have almost stopped looking at the AVSIM front page specifically because of it's lack of release announcements. Any release action is in the forums. gb. The coverage of new releases on the front page, is 'patchy' or 'sporadic'...... but it's fair enough that developers/publishers should be notifying the release to AVSIM, in order to get the coverage. The developer/publisher will benefit greatly from an AVSIM Front Page release, so it's hugely in their interest to bother writing a note to the AVSIM News Editorial............... why should AVSIM chase this, when it's the developer/publisher that will benefit (and of course us simmers!). So come one - don't blame AVSIM - come on devs and publishers, let AVSIM News team know when you've released your product!
