Flight Factory Simulations (FFS) RV-7A anybody heard anything??

Featured Replies

I purchased the RV-7 a while back and love it but I was under the impression that they were releasing the RV-7A soon.According to their support forum the RV-7A was pretty much completed (or close to it)and was going to be released after the Beach King Air....well, what happened to it?Seems like the only thing released is the news about them closing their support forum. Is FFS still even around or am I wasting my time?Thx

Their development team has split up, quite abruptly too...with no public warning comming before the split. I wouldnt expect anything from them anytime soon, time to move on to more reliable sources id say.Dave

I reviewed the RV-7 earlier this year, and at that time it was the firm intention of FFS to release a RV-7A version with tricycle gear and autopilot. However, sadly, it appears that the development team is no longer in existence.

Paul, Shane, and Dave,Sorry things have been quiet at FFS. We are currently under restructure of the group. Yes, we did have all of our major gauge programmers leave, however, we have been on the search for a new gauge programmer or two, that know how to program with GDI Plus. As you may or may not know, it is a bit difficult finding these people with said talent.Once we get a new gauge programmer on board, we will be releasing the Vans RV-7A. But we have to wait until that time happens. We made several announcements about the RV-7A regarding that issue. As for our Saab 340B project, we are still doing that as well. But again, we need to find the gauge programmer to help us finish the product. What I am saying here is that we have not given up. We will continue to press forward and continue supporting all of our products. We have no intentions of throwing in the towel! It is just going to take a little bit of time to find the right people. We are closly reviewing some potential gauge designers. But that is as far as I can go with that. Once we know more, we will announce it on our web site as well as customer news letters.Hopefully, this clears up some things for you all. Thanks,
