July 14, 201312 yr I do know how to copy and paste but "Paste" was greyed out after doing the copy. This time it worked, for some reason. Just wanted to be sure as I have no idea what everyone's computer skills are. Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 and 2008 are not up-to-date. Here are links to the current versions: http://www.microsoft...s.aspx?id=26347, http://www.microsoft...s.aspx?id=26368. And, just in case the 2010 version is out-of-date, here's the latest version of that very important program (PMDG is using the 2010 version) - http://www.microsoft...s.aspx?id=26999. (I don't see where the PMDG737 loaded so you probably do not have it installed so this dll is probably not really needed. Just advising just in case). The Bonjour Service for iTunes and other Apple products has been known to cause problems with FSX. Possibly checking for updates or whatever that product does. No indications it caused this crash though. Just for your information. Fraps.dll was the last module loaded and perhaps that was the cause of the crash (memory issue). Did you just install Fraps? What was the last addon you installed. Perhaps it is the issue. This type of crash with the f7fc Hang Signature is very common in FSX and I did some research and could find no one who fixed this problem without (ugh!) uninstalling/reinstalling FSX. You have to look at what you recently did to your computer or FSX before this crash started occurring. One easy way to investigate a crash is to disable all of your addon scenery in the Scenery Library. Then run FSX and see if this fixes the problem. If it does, then it is possibly a problem with one of the sceneries installed. You can reenable them 3-4 at a time to see when the crash starts again and you can pinpoint the bad scenery. It could also be an aircraft too. I think it is a memory issue and you are not getting sufficient resources from your system to run FSX properly. Turning down your sliders might help but I would rename your Fsx.cfg to FSX.orig and then restart FSX and let the config rebuild. If the crashes stop, then it was a setting or a tweak in your config that caused the problem. If the crashes are continuing, then you can go back and rename the FSX.orig back to Fsx.cfg and delete the rebuilt one. You can try this Microsoft fix to the memory heap limitation - http://support.microsoft.com/kb/947246. It may give your fsx some room to breathe. Lastly, you should check to make sure you have the proper versions of Microsoft.net. These are installed when you install FSX or a fsx addon but they could be corrupted or missing. You need versions 1.1 thru the latest installed. You can see quickly what versions are installed on your computer by looking in C:\Windows\Microsoft.net\framework\then the versions (must be the 32 bit versions). To verify they are installed properly you can go to the following link and use the verification tool there - http://blogs.msdn.com/b/astebner/archive/2008/10/13/8999004.aspx. Microsoft.net is used by developers to make sure their product works as intended including managing memory for the application. Unfortunately there is no magic bullet to fix this problem. You'll just have to investigate as above and hope one of the suggestions works. Best regards, Jim Jim Young | AVSIM Online! - Simming's Premier Resource! Best regards, Jim Thanks, Jim. I will try a couple of these possible fixes.
