October 26, 200421 yr About 6 months or more ago, I thought I saw a file that increased performance on the default Baron, so it would climb higher, I guess like a TC'd Baron. I can't find anything like that now. Was there ever something like this, or did I imagine it?Thanks!Rick
October 26, 200421 yr Don't know about the file..but you can tinker with the flight dynamics yourself..then again you know that allready i bet..soooo ehh no idea on the file thingy :-rollAMD64 3200 - MSI K8N Neo Platinum NForce3 - ASUS RADEON 9800XT - SB AUDIGY 2 - 1GB CORSAIR XMS - XP PRO EXCL. October 26, 200421 yr You can use the high performance twin file that FSD put out for FS2002. It works just fine in 2004, you just have to change the path to your FS9 default. This file, which I use, will change the flight dynamics of your default King Air and add turbocharging to your Baron. A simple search for it in the library will get you there. If it isn't there any more, I think it's still available on the FSD website.:>
October 26, 200421 yr Author I just d/l'd the file from FSD....installed the installer program. Now when I try to run the installed, I get "the FSD Installer has encountered a problem and needs to close". Any ideas why? Running XP.Rick
October 26, 200421 yr Well, did you specify the path to your FS9 directory and not the 2002 directory? I also have a problem d'ling and installing their patches for my FSD a/c, they say it's a problem with the registry. I don't know, their new installer doesn't like me either. If my above suggestion doesn't work, get me your email address and I'll send you the .air and cfg from my baron.(-:
October 26, 200421 yr Author I don't even get anywhere for it to ask me for a path. As sonn as I double-click on the installation program, it shows an FSD screen for a few seconds and the the problem message. Is this what happens to you?Rick
