October 26, 200421 yr Well, here I am again finishing my FS9 set up.I have one last problem. I have wxRE version installed in a secondary PC via Wide FS. I am not sure what happens but AS gets the weather, finds its way to the other computer (I had to write the path to the main computer in AS), installs the winds in FS9, but it doesn't install the clouds. I tested it with wxRE installed in the main PC, and my skyes are full of nice clouds, then I shut AS down and clear the weather. Then I start AS in the secondary PC, get the weather and although the winds are loaded exactly the same in FS9, no clouds appear.I tested it in all possible ways starting and shutting down AS in both computers and the results are always the same, the secondary PC never installs the clouds in FS9.Both installations are with the same settings. Any ideas how can I solve this? I want to have AS in my secondary PC and leave the main one with more resources to be used by FS9.Thanks,Leo
October 26, 200421 yr Leo,Try posting in the ActiveSky forum here at avsim for faster service, but I've got a couple of ideas in the meantime:1.) What version of FSUIPC do you have installed in FS9? It might be useful to download a fresh copy from Pete's site and overwrite whatever is there - maybe an older version was installed by some other addon.2.) Have you updated wxRE? There are patches for that at hifisim.com too. 3.) Maybe the problem is related to WideFS? I think you need that to run wxRE on a networked pc? What version of that do you have?Just some ideas...Jim will be along shortly ;)!Best,sg [email protected] | 32gb RAM | EVGA GTX1080 8gb | Mostly P3Dv5 (also IL2:BoX, DCS, XP11)
October 26, 200421 yr Scott,Thanks for your reply but it seems I had done everything before I found the problem.I posted at the AS forum at the same time I posted here (no answer so far).1) FSUIPC 3.402) Last version 1.92.43) Maybe, but would need someone to tell me what I am doing wrong. I have the last version too (I got it less than a month ago). The funny thing is that I updated wxRE last week. Before that the downloaded winds were a mess (a problem with previous versions of wxRE), but clouds worked well with Wide FS. Leo
October 26, 200421 yr Hi,Suggestions from Damian posted. Please try to keep AS technical support questions in our forum!Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Supporthttp://www.hifisim.com/images/as2004proudsupporter.jpg
October 27, 200421 yr Author Make sure you are using the latest version of WideFS. Hopefully, you have a registered copy or WideFS isn't going to work properly. To check registration, start the flight simulator, fly now!, let it stabilize, select modules, FSUIPC, and check to see if both FSUIPC and WideFS are registered.W. Sieffert Bill Sieffert
