MSFS2004 Scenery for NY/NJ/PA/CT area?

Featured Replies

Just looking for the best add-on scenery for these areas? and could somebody also comment on if this addon scenery completely DESTROYS your FPS speed? Thanks

I have heard this scenery is only really good if you fly like at 7K or above.. I fly low VFR in Cessnas around like 2-3K feet most of the time and I heard the default FS9 scenery at these altitudes is better than MegaScenery?

There is a demo you can download and try for yourself. I think it is for California, but you can still get the idea. As for other addons, I would recommend some sort of mesh and landclass (I use FS Genesis), USA Roads, and some sort of water textures, either FS Water or the freeware versions. All these particular addons should have little impact on performance.

It looks good from about 3000 feet IMO (I have their California sceneries). I think it looks better than default - default tends to look "repeated" and artificial where as Megascenery looks natural. Try the Socal demo and see what you think.
