Flight 1 C177B Cardinal II

Featured Replies

I was surprised to find that there is not 1 single video of the Flight 1 C177B Cardinal II on YouTube. :(   (the new model, not the one from 2003!).

I wanted to check this aircraft out in action, and also hear the sounds.

Can anyone give any comments, views, recommendations on this one?

I've been thinking about buying it, so I'd be interested in finding out as well.

As an aside, it's interesting that you mentioned wanting to check out Flight1's Cardinal on Youtube: I do the same before most of my FSX purchases.

Yeah, I always find it's the best way to check out how an add-on really looks and sounds in the sim. (although I'm not a fan of the over-produced cinematic videos, or those set to music).

I have had it for over a year now (I think).

I think its great. It handles very well with a good FDE and has been keeping me happy for small Cessna until I try the A2A and or RA 172.

The RXP integration is nice too.

Well worth if for the price. If you dont like it, get a refund. The nice thing about Flight 1!

Yep, you're right - it will fill gap for a high quality smaller Cessna (to go alongside the F1 T182T G1000), until we have the A2A or RealAir C172.

I'm off to buy it now; to celebrate the completion of my MegaSceneryEarth Oregon download and install (took almost exactly 12 hours ).

Bought it.   Love it.    GA lovers; don't leave this one out of your hangar!
