A380 before I buy questions

Featured Replies

Tha A380 is not cheap, so I'd apreciate if you could answer some questions before I order.

I don't think the VC will work with my hardware specifications. Are the fps good in 2d panel? Can I enter waypoints by coordinates into the FMC? Is there some kind of taxi camera or terrain on ND?

Thanks in advance.

Ralf,

I will test it as soon as I arrive home tonight.

Yes, the FPS are good in the 2d and 3d panels, but I use mainly the 3d because my close vision is poor, and I have difficulty reading the 2d panels...

There is a taxi camera, but I don't think it really provides a great image...

No terrain on ND, as far as I recall...

I use it mainly to fly circuits :-), but I will try to answer your question latter tonight :-)

Thanks so far. Check the rest when you have plenty of time. If ever, lol. It is not urgent, I have some A320 routes prepared for the next days. Currently I'm completely back to Peter's A320. It is precision...

Ralf,

a quick glance at the manual suggests there being no way to manually define waypoints from the FMS. Only way is to edit the FMS file in a text editor before loading it for your flight.
