  1. I owned it, so I installed it without any risk. As I don’t fly default aircraft, I had no problem downgrading XP to the last stable release. Wow, a new world, clouds look so nice and realistic, at least to me. Turbulence feels better to me and I can edit the level of it. Weather is like reported. No more surprise like before, XP weather often is different from METAR reports, that lead to my one and only Challenger accident. Cameron is right. New versions of XP will make it not usable. Until then, I use it and like it. Let’s see what happens. Would I spent money on it now? No, I don’t think so. But as a customer, it’s for free, at least it fells like that.
  2. Yes, it is. It’s not the Challenger 650 for XP, it’s a class and a sim of it’s own. If you prefer XP or MSFS doesn’t matter. If you like the Challenger, wrap XP around it and enjoy the best simming experience.
  3. Can’t tell in percent. But I could increase rendering distance and cloud quality. Still have around 40fps like before.
  4. No, it is XP11 only. Switching to 12 as soon as the Challenger is 12-ready.
  5. Can’t stop flying it. Today I ordered the deicing truck for the first time. Very impressive. They put so much love into that product. Well done and once again, worth every cent.
  6. Installed today and finished first flight. During the last days of XP11 it’s eventually usable. If you already own it, it’s time for an upgrade.
  7. I would like to see an updated version for XP12. Use the historical weather feature a lot when I fly tracked flights. Long range Challenger flights do not always work with todays weather.
  8. Uninstaller at work again, lol. I’m on the fence. That’s all Hotstarts fault. Since I fly that Challenger I stopped plane hording. But I remember I had a very good time with it and XP10. Torque bug? Yes. I opened the MU in Planemaker, changed one engine to counter rotate, edited the trim settings and it was fun to fly. Realistic, no, big fun, yes.
  9. The last time I have flown one plane exclusively was the PS1 744 sim. It’s not flying from A to B only, it’s about knowing the plane, knowing what to do and why. Now, with the Hotstart Challenger, that spirit is back after almost 20 years. It’s so rewarding picking it up where you left it and continue the legs. Every flight I learn another aspect of the plane. Thank you Hotstart.
  10. Check your antivirus settings and exclude XP from routine scanning.
  11. Since I purchased the Hotstart Challenger, nothing else.
  12. Congrats and enjoy. Logged some time in the FLight Factor 757-300 @, nice plane. Still remember the PMDG 757 for Fly2 as well.
  13. Looking good. But I doubt that the default A330 will satisfy Toliss customers.
  14. I remember I once installed Ubuntu to test Linux and X Plane. It was not much of a problem to run X Plane, I guess it was XP10 during those days. But, daily tasks became difficult. Wanted to scan some old color slides and did not find drivers for my color slide scanner. It ended by using a virtual windows under Linux. To be honest, I’m happy to have Windows again. FPS using Ubuntu were better, but not significantly.
  15. Thanks for the link. That should be an interesting plane. I never used the old one much.
  16. That worked. Many thanks. I like that add on very much and don’t want to miss an update.
  17. I tried that link. I was asked to react to the rules with the tick emoji but I can’t. Any help?
  18. Carenado and problems are a well known combo. Don’t waste your money on them.
  19. Yes, good news out of the blue. Always hoped for the Carenado 300 with the default G1000, but glad to hear that it’s by Aerobask. First day purchase for me.
