  1. I will stay with XP 10 until 11 is out for a while and patched up to, let's say 11.4. I left XP 9 to early for a buggy 10. No more payed beta versions for me. XP at 10.5 RC is a good sim and fun and I want to keep the fun with all the great add ons working.
  2. Best update ever, smooth as silk here.
  3. Yes, the 90's and PS1, golden age of flight simming.
  4. José is a very respectable fellow simmer. It does not need a pilot license to describe the torque bug. Although being discussed so often it took a long time until LR reacted. Many payware add ons wait for a bug fix now because we can't run them through planemaker. It's a shame that we point fingers at other simulators and believe we have the best flight model. Until we can't use our planes we simply don't. I don't hold a pilot license. Common sense is sufficient.
  5. José, Please ask Hardy to sell his "weather injector" as a stand allone ap.
  6. Yesterday I installed my plane. I purchased the Wilco A320 Evolution series. It was a hard decision between that one and the Ifly 737. I started with the Airbus because I flew one in X Plane and I'm used to it. First start of it in the SIM showed 100+ fps, everything maxed out. Today is key and buttons config day and if it all works, maybe the maiden flight tonight. FSRGW creates some nice clouds, no worry about how much of them and the impact on fps. Internal Airbus navdata updated to the newest cycle. Great so far.
  7. Easy solution found.
  8. Installed FS9 today. It does not start. No message. It simply doesn't start. Have to try again layer this week with a new installation.
  9. As far as I know Navigraph or whatever you use does not update the default FS9 database. It updates the database of your add ons, like FMC data. Yes, smoothness is what I'm looking for. My old i3 notebook runs X Plane but with minimal settings. A little bit more scenery would be nice. Too bad it's Monday and a busy week has started. I will report my progress here.
  10. Thanks a lot. The Ifly 737 looks good to me. All models included, wow, and so many repaints available. I don't have to care about outdated ILS frequencies because of the autotune feature. All I have to do is to purchase the 737. I own the current Navdata cycle. FSRGW is installed and that should me make good to go.
  11. Hi pilots, I've been an X Plane pilot for the last few years but I'm thinking about installing FS9 again. Here are some questions. What airliner A320 or B737 is nice to have, looking for payware that does not have too many bugs. How can I update my navdata? Looking for recent ILS and VOR frequencies. Any way to update fixes? Thank you.
  12. The main differences, Peter's busses don't show curved flight path on ND, no take off calculations, no entry of arrival and departure runway. You have to trade that in for a 3d flight office.
  13. Enjoy the Saab, José. I don't use it often on my slow old rig but it's a fine plane.
  14. Die I get it right, you ran the MU-2 through Planemaker and it fixed the hard core torque effect? Did you change the trim settings before you saved it again? Thanks for your help.
  15. One of The best comparisons I ever heard of. Nothing to add.
  16. 20% GA and 80% airliner flying, so call me a number 2 guy. But wait, even 90% of my GA flights is IFR after a good preparation, flight plan, collecting charts and fuel calculation.
  17. If I set all options to "ugly" I don't get the stutters. I don't have first class hardware but found my way to have a nice running XP using reasonable settings. There's something wrong with that weather tool. Official support does not help but you might try it. I would not advise to buy it as long as it's not sorted out.
  18. Finished my first flight. Better fps so I could tune my settings up a little bit. Looking better than 2.x, well spend 20 bucks.
  19. Same here. First class support.
  20. "Sync to real time" unchecked. Result: Needs 60 minutes to start stuttering.
  21. Setting up time and date. It's a tick box.
  22. Do you mean sync to real time produces stutter in general, or while running Real Weather? I use that for a long time because I can't decide what time of day to start my flights. Too bad I start working a couple of night shifts today so I don't know when I'll be able to test and report. 13 hours night shift means work, sleep, eat and care for family and the animals. But I will test it. Many thanks.
