I can more or less start up an NGX without the aircraft yelling at me later, and I was wondering if the MD11 has as complex a startup or is it not built that way? By the way I'd love another update to the MD11.

The NGX is a very detailed simulation, but the 737 itself is fairly simple in comparison to other aircraft. The MD-11 is more complex to pre-flight than the NGX. It has a high degree of automation but you need to learn what that does to master it. It also has a very different philosophy in the way the FMC is programmed and how the autoflight works, much more like an Airbus in fact. If you are planning to buy the 777 when it is released I'd wait to learn that as it seems the wait won't be long. It's also more automated and complex than the 737 but has a common design philosophy so you would save the pain of having to unlearn Boeing and then relearn it for the 777.
