Hand fly 2004 jet

Featured Replies

Anyone hand fly a FS2004 jet for say 2 to 5 or 6 hours?Just wondering. I like to do that once in a while to hone my skillsJimCYWG

It is best to let auto-pilot fly the cruise portion and you can always take over during descent (which is far more challenging anyway). This is also often how it is done in real world.Michael J.WinXP-Home SP2,AMD64 3500+,Abit AV8,Radeon X800Pro,36GB Raptor,1GB PC3200,Audigy 2

I did it once for 2.5 hours with LearJet in IFR using ATC flight following. I had 3 VOR waypoints, and the ATC guided me for the whole 700 nm until I touch down. It is not that much work; you just can't leave the computer, and can't go to bathroom unless you have a co-pilot.
