FTX Global screens request...

Featured Replies

A poor X-Plane 10 user, desperately trying to find out how FTX Global renders an approach to LPPT03, 10 miles out, the same for LPPR 35, LPCS 35, and any other portuguese airports.

Additional pics from various regions in Portugal also welcomed :-)

Thx guys!  You're GREAT!

Maybe you can post the exact coordinates plus heading (mag) and the desired altitude for the approach you'd like to see most (I won't do all of them ^_^ ): then I can copy them into FSX and make the exact screenshots you want! (You can get all this info if you position your plane in the desired location in FSX and then go to the map view: it's all there on the left and that's also the place where I can copy and paste it all). I do use UTX Europe: do you want a shot with or without it? And what's the preferred time of day? And do you want me to use real time weather or completely blue skies?

Jeroen,

I'll try to get some coordinates. Alt can always be set at 3000', any weather will do, a dusk approach and a nigh approach to LPPT would be great.

I have no terrain or LC add-ons in P3D - just Aerosoft's MAdeira and Lukla. If I buy FTX Global it'll be my first global scenery add-on for MSFS / P3D :-)

Will post a few coordinates - have to googlemap for it because I am not at my sim PC ....

Thx!

Ok, here is LPPT. (I will leave the rest for others. ^_^ ). Zoom is 0.60: I usually use 0.40 but decided to zoom in a little for this purpose.

First, so you can compare it, a shot WITH UTX Europe. Take note that I don't use any addon mesh or other landclass.

This is without UTX.

This is dusk.

And yes, this is night. ^_^

Beautiful!!

Hey Jcomm, if you buy this, you're almost certainly making me get it too!! I just Won't be able to keep hearing from you how good your sim looks and stay with my default cartoonish FSX textures.

Think carefully of the consequences!!! :D

Thank you Jeroen!!! These look very nice, and I believe I even prefer the one with FTX only!

Alec, I'm desperately trying to resist, but it's getting really difficult...

The lack of a good airliner add-on, of the class that PMDG has taught us to use, like my 737 NGX, makes me return to P3D every time I feel the need for a nice airliner flight. Aerosoft's AXE also very good for that purpose btw!  So... I ended up dreaming about how it would look with FTX, and their future LC products ;-)

I'll let you know Alec if I quit resisting....

You can do it....

No need to be stuck with just a sim or two. But then you already know that!!!!! :)

Yep! Problem is lack of time to manage all, and add-ons... that's my major problem, and why I always try to dedicate to a single sim.... ;-)
