August 7, 201312 yr With the future of technology it is interesting to say with this being available to us that it really changes the way we enjoy our flight sims. I see developers making really cool apps that interact with FSX, X-Plane, etc that makes the experience a whole lot better. There are flight planning apps, efb's, now even virtual FMC's that we can all use on our iPad's and other tablet devices with our fingers. I am really hoping developers out there will start to target this market and make more cool stuff, such as gauges like the Garmin GNS 430/530, G1000's. RealityXP and Mindstar have already made that step, now lets hope they or someone else can take this to the next level and incorporate that same interface onto modern tablet devices like the iPad. I would love to have the ability to dock or mix and match GNS 430/530 or have a fully functional G1000 that's close to the real thing as possible on my iPad while I fly. The more of this stuff we can have, the more screen we can have devoted to just scenery. And for those who are lucky to have more than 1 iPad, they can have one on each screen. The maker of Virtual CDU has really opened up the doors for what's possible in the flight simming world. I look forward to seeing more apps like this that integrate and work together with FSX/P3D/X-Plane so that the end user can have flexibility on how he/she want's to setup their home made cockpit and such. There are some pretty nice flight planning apps as well that work specifically with FSX/X-Plane and it's so cool how we can all do this via touch with our fingers. http://fswidgets.com/shop/index.php?cPath=23&osCsid=fca802d7e249d77d9a3534bb20bd1e34 Those guys make a lot of great apps, hope to see more developers doing the same!
