August 9, 201312 yr I'm wondering if there is a way to change the engine rating to simulate the other engine options (-7B24) for the 737-800. I looked through all the configuration options in the fmc and did not seeing anything here or the intro manual. Thanks
August 9, 201312 yr No. If you want to de-rate your engines to a different K setting for takeoff (TO1, TO2 etc.) you can do so through the N1 LIMIT page. You can also 'bump' them to 27K. However there is no way to 'factory derate' the engine to a lower or higher setting than the default of 26K for example on the -800. 26K is the most common shared across the -800s anyway. August 9, 201312 yr You can't change entire engines. Ryan said it's costy to buy all performance docs for every engine type from Boeing. They don't want to simulate them unrealistically. Rostyslav S Wanna fly 737NGX with turbulence?
