Just a quick question.  All of a sudden I no longer get the Zoom Status/Notification at the top right hand corner of the screen or when I change the zoom.  Any ideas?

The value for how long the text shows has probably been taken out of your fsx.CFG file.

 

If you know where that file is look for:

 

[Display] and ChangeTime= (the default is 4.000000) which is 4 seconds. Put in whatever you want

I already have that line under Display so it's not that that's causing the caption to not appear.  I also don't get the brakes on message.

To get the brakes on message you need this line under [Display] -

 

InfoBrakesEnable=True

InfoParkingBrakesEnable=True

 

 

As for the view info - make sure transition time is also set to 4.000000

 

Are your colour values this?

 

 

InfoUpperRightTextColor=255,0,0

InfoUpperRightBackGroundColor=0,0,0,0

 

(red text with no background colour)

Yeah I have all those in my config.  Is there a key that starts and stops these captions appearing?

Found the problem - had a line in the config that said Info Text Hide=1.  Deleted the line and all messages back to normal.
