November 4, 200421 yr Opinions on the F1 Cessna 441 Conquest IIThis FS add-on has interested me for a while, but I
November 4, 200421 yr Good...-Has FS2002 support...-Flight1's backing-It's a classic real world aircraft.Also consider the 421C if you don't have it. It's not a propjet, but it's a beautiful add-on in it's own right...
November 4, 200421 yr I guess the real question is whether you really want to fly and enjoy a turbine twin. If so, 441 is one of the best. It's my definite choice in the class and one of my few aircrafts I fly all the time rather than sometimes. And I have a lot of addons.Another one you should consider is Aeroworx B200. It's just great. I have it but I don't fly it because it stutters on my system. As long as you have a fairly powerful system. It's worth looking into.About the conquest...overall excellent. NICE 2D panel that I use for my IFR training flights. Smooth on my computer. Systems are very well modeled but not overly complex at the same time. Clean and fast aircraft with everything you can expect for a GA plane (not WX radar of course). Flight1 means top quality. Hope this is helpful. JasonFAA CPL SEL MEL IR CFI-I MEI AGI
November 4, 200421 yr Thanks for respondingI have both the Cessna 421 and the King Air 200, I love the 421 and the BE-200 kills my system as well, awaiting the patch hopefully it will make this fine plane usable on my middle of the road system. Thanks for the input, I guess I
November 4, 200421 yr Glad you decided to buy. I bought it because the B200 is disappointing in performance. And I am glad I did. I am now looking at their ATR. Definitely a great plane. I am looking out for B200 patch as well...I hope but am not sure if it will help with my problem. JasonFAA CPL SEL MEL IR CFI-I MEI AGI
November 4, 200421 yr I think you will find this a great addition to your hanger. I have no regrets at all in purchasing and operate it almost every day. The 441 had good cruise speed, range and operating altitude and can be operated from the VC (if that is what you like). The RealityXP gauges work very well in the C441 also. Worth every penny...
November 4, 200421 yr Think the performance of the Cheyenne 400 (almost) with the looks of the Golden Eagle (almost).Couple that with Flight1 support and you have a winner.I'm only mildly biassed, doing part of that support (disclaimer).
November 4, 200421 yr Flight One did a great job on this aircraft. Both the 2D and 3D cockpits are frame rate friendly on my system.Matt ZagorenP4 2.8Asus P4P8001 Gig DDR 3200ATI 9800 Pro Matt Zagoren CPU: i5-750 Mobo: Gigabyte GA-P55M-UD2 Ram: 8GB DDR3 HD: Hitachi 1 TB Video: Galaxy GTX570 OS: Win 7 64-Bit
November 4, 200421 yr I like flying the C441 and loved the C421 (my home cockpit is based on it - at least for the moment) but one thing that has always bugged me is I never feel like I am firing up a turbine engine when I start it up. My brother has a TBM700 (a real one) so I know how the process goes. The B200 nails it pretty well - you really get the feeling you are spinning the turbines then lighting the fire - sounds, instruments, etc. The ATR nails it and the Cheyenne does to the extent I think it was possible when it was produced. That's the only bad comment I can make though.David
