August 22, 201312 yr I have been doing a lot of flying around Europe lately in the NGX when I started thinking about two major airports in Europe that certainly need a facelift. I'm trying to speak from a general sense of the flightsim community when I say that Frankfurt and Amsterdam Schipol seem to have been forgotten about. I mean the aerosoft versions were great in there time but are certainly showing there age, these are two very important hubs for both LH and KLM not to mention a few other major LCC's. I think we've seen a real shift in airport development lately in the sense that most of the developers mainly aerosoft seem to be doing smaller airports or regional airports, "could be for pc performance reasons". Frankfurt since has even received a new runway and terminal extension. It would be nice to see a developer invest there time in both of these airports, I know I would be on the bandwagon. Really surprised aerosoft hasn't come along with an update for Frankfurt. What are your thoughts on that, is it just me. By all means these are not airports on my favs list that I would love to have, I mean Edmonton Intl CYEG is my local and I would love that the most but from a general perspective these two airports would likely sell big given there regional importance, take a similar airport in Europe like London Heathrow, it has multiple developers and is continuously being updated. Anyway just my 2 cents... Paul Dhanjal CYEG
August 22, 201312 yr FSX is missing a TON of new airports. It is also missing updated runway numbers, updated, NEW runways/removed runways (For example, the default airport of Boston is missing a new runway). Thankfully, there are many talented guys who make freeware updates for the airports; that adds the new runways/numbers/removes runways, and makes the sim experience better. Use the AVSIM library or the FlightSim library to look for AFCADs. i7-6700K @ 4.5 GHz, 16 GB DDR4-2400 MHz, GTX 1070 8GB
August 22, 201312 yr Really surprised aerosoft hasn't come along with an update for Frankfurt. They're actually making a completely new version of EDDF, Aerosoft - Mega Airport Frankfurt X although it's probably a long time away. BTW CYEG and I believe CYYC are being developed by SimAddons. August 22, 201312 yr Take Saskatsoon airport over New York one maybe 3% that prefer that. Regionals are easier to fly in and out.
August 23, 201312 yr Author Regionals are always better in terms of performance for sure, I like to fly out of hubs to regional airports as there is less chance of stutters on final approach. I exclusively fly to my payware airports, don't remember the last time I flew into a default scenery. I k ow for Europe Rome is in the works for fsx and budapest, another important hub were lacking is Paris CDG as the existing one is a killer on performance. I wish we had a larger number of developers like Flytampa, FSDT, flight beam ect... Paul Dhanjal CYEG
