November 11, 200421 yr Anyone know of a (preferably freeware) Learjet 31 or 35a with transparent windows that will work with Fs2004/Fs9?...If not, how about some small twin jet of the same size?..Got a Citation II(550), Elcipse 500 and Chuck dome's Bj400....
November 11, 200421 yr I'm not sure what you are specifically looking for.. but if you would like a highly realistic and very smooth glass cockpit in a small business jet, here is how you do it:Adding Reality XP Jetline 4 gauges to the FS9 Learjet 45 gives you a really nice airplane. The glass gauges will automatically install into the default Learjet when you install the gauge package.www.reality-xp.com Bert
November 11, 200421 yr Curious whether you have my Eclipse 500... (The one from Dave Eckert that I updated). It's here in the Avsim Library--look under author "John Cillis". As for a Lear 35, as I just noted in a response to another thread, FlightFX released one a couple of years ago. Do a search for that one, and you should find a nice model.Last, Mark Dickenson and I worked on an Aerostar Jet together (not to be confused with Mike Stone's recent release). It's also here in the file library.-John
November 12, 200421 yr Thanks for your replies...Sorry forgot to metion that I do have the Fj100 as well..Yes the Elcipse and Aerostar are your ones...What I wanted, was a twin jet with 2 crew + 6-8seat capacity along the lines of the Learjet 35. I Know there is a Learjet 35 available that is compatible with Fs9, but it doesn't have transparant windows...The models you have created are really brilliant, but I just simply like the looks of the real world Learjet 35 and the Raytheon Bj400 better than the other A/c in this size range....No reflection on your work just a matter of taste...Chuck Dome has an excellent Bj400 availlable, but his way of mapping the skin textures make them extremely difficult to do a detailed repaint on....Anyway thanks for replying....
November 12, 200421 yr Don't know of any offhand. I fly the 31a a lot, but mine does not have the transparent windows. No VC either....It does fly good though...I've tweaked the air file, etc , a bit...I also have a 31a panel I've been using for it, that was taken from a real 31a pix.I used to fly the 35 quite a bit, but not much lately. The package that I got my current 31a from, also includes the 35,23 and 25. That will probably clue you into which package I'm using. I used to use the "rouge" 31a for the older version, but I think it must have had a problem running in fs9, being as I'm not using it now. I think it did have transparent windows...MK Mark Keith
November 12, 200421 yr Funny,I posted the same type of message just a day or two ago on FS.com about a Lear 23 which is virtually non-existent in the FS World. I have access to one through our Aviation Museum for photographing, measurements whatever,I'd hope maybe someone like Eagle Soft would be interested seeing how Biz Jets seems to be their thing.David
November 13, 200421 yr I may do a new LearJet family someday to replace the crappy old FFX models, since they're so simple, but meh. Got too much to do as-is.
