September 3, 201312 yr I have a quick question I keep bumping my head into, I hope there's a simple answer: When I see, say, a hi-altitude jetway on Skyvector.com, sometimes it is listed as, for example (out of KSEA) "J1-189". If I attempt to enter either J1-189, or J1189 into say the PMDG 737NGX FMS, it won't take. Perhaps I just need to enter J1? I'm wondering what the basic convention is for all such hyphenated jetways. Not a bug issue, just a question about jetway info -- thanks! Steven
September 3, 201312 yr Perhaps I just need to enter J1? I'm wondering what the basic convention is for all such hyphenated jetways. Hi Steven, that is already the correct answer. You need to enter J1 - or alternatively J189. Both airways share a common path here. Regards, Markus Vitzethum Best regards, Markus Vitzethum ("ps1flyer")
September 3, 201312 yr In the route page you enter the jetway on the left ( via ) and the corresponding vor or intersection on the right. Patrick Neuman
September 3, 201312 yr Hello Steven, It is the way US Jet routes are laid out. Sometimes two jet routes will share the same route for a portion of their layout. So in your example there are 2 jet routes, on J1 and J189. If you are on J1 prior to the joining you can use just J1. If you are on J189 just use J189. If you are on neither just pick your poison. September 3, 201312 yr Yeah, make sure you are planning flights via the Route page, not the Legs page. Jacob
September 3, 201312 yr Author Ok thanks all!-- it wasn't _where_ to enter the Jetway but just exactly what info to enter -- this clears a minor issue up for me I haven't been able to resolve quickly otherwise, much appreciated!
