November 13, 200421 yr The last two flights, different aircraft, different airports, both ended up with the aircraft dipping nose down about when it's time to do your flare, making it almost impossible to get the nose up in time. Manual flying--no autopilot involved. Any clues?Noel Noel System: 9900X3D Noctua NH-D15 G2, MSI Pro 650-P WiFi, G.SKILL 64GB (2 x 32GB) 288-Pin PC RAM DDR5 6000, WD NVMe 2Tb x 1, Sabrent NVMe 2Tb x 1, RTX 4090 FE, Corsair RM1000W PSU, Win11 Home, LG Ultra Curved Gsync Ultimate 3440x1440, Phanteks Enthoo Pro Case, TCA Boeing Edition Yoke & TQ, Cessna Trim Wheel, RTSS Framerate Limiter w/ Front Edge Sync. November 13, 200421 yr Are you, by chance, using ActiveSky 2004.5? If so, go into the options and check to see if your wake turbulence settings are enabled. I decided to disable these options and haven't experienced any 'turbulence' while on short final since.
November 13, 200421 yr Yep - same happened to me - wake turbulence on every landing, some violent enough to slam me into the ground.Joe LorencVice President, Carolina Operations, VN7 Networkhttp://www.vn7network.com/ Joe Lorenc

Many thanks for that help.Noel Noel System: 9900X3D Noctua NH-D15 G2, MSI Pro 650-P WiFi, G.SKILL 64GB (2 x 32GB) 288-Pin PC RAM DDR5 6000, WD NVMe 2Tb x 1, Sabrent NVMe 2Tb x 1, RTX 4090 FE, Corsair RM1000W PSU, Win11 Home, LG Ultra Curved Gsync Ultimate 3440x1440, Phanteks Enthoo Pro Case, TCA Boeing Edition Yoke & TQ, Cessna Trim Wheel, RTSS Framerate Limiter w/ Front Edge Sync. November 13, 200421 yr >Ahhh, that was it--wake turbulance that is. Many thanks for>that help.>>NoelIf using a GA aircraft, you might try landing further down the runway. By doing that, the turbulance from a Jet landing ahead of you is more disapated... In real aircraft, the Tower would give a light aircraft following a Jet, that instruction. Bob
