the caution light came on on the glare shield and wont go off.  there is no amber lights on in the overhead, there is no amber messages on the ecais, and when I go through the synop. pages everthing seems to be green and good to go.

Did you load from the Cold and Dark panel state? I believe this is a know issue when you start the flight from that panel state. Try starting from the Long Turn panel state and see if you still have an issue.
