I am considering upgrading my GTX460 1GB card to a GTX760 2GB or 4GB card for my PC that is only used for FSX (CPU i7 950 overclocked to 4.0GHZ and 6GB of RAM, Windows 7 64Bit)

As I have a 30” Dell monitor at a resolution of 2560 x 1600, I assume a newer/faster video card with more video memory will help. I have ORBX scenery installed, use REX and mainly use GA aircraft only.

Apparently some have experienced out of memory errors with 4GB of video memory (as FSX is a 32bit application). Is this a problem?

Any advice is really appreciated!

Chris

Video card memory has nothing to do with OOM errors.

That said, at that res and if you run a medium to heavy amount of FSAA, I would go for the 4Gig video card.
