  1. I'm wondering the same thing. Windows 10 is expected to be released in late July.
  2. There is also this if you prefer using the older Garmin 430 or 530 :-) http://www.mindstaraviation.com/Product_430_530.html
  3. I wonder if P3Dv2 32bit will take advantage of Windows 10 and DX12 (if that is even possible) in a future update or will we need to wait until P3Dv3 64bit?
  4. Doesn't the Mindstar software work on the Emuteq hardware too?
  5. Don't forget the new "ultrawide" curved 34" LG, Samsung, AOC and Dell (21:9 ratio) monitors are about to or have just come out at a resolution of 3440x1440. Might be a good option! Australian review here: http://www.gizmodo.com.au/2014/11/lg-34uc97-curved-led-monitor-australian-review/
  6. Looks like Samsung will also have a 21:9 ratio 34" curved monitor at the same resolution next month. Hopefully it will be a little cheaper than the LG. I know what I want for Christmas! http://www.fudzilla.com/home/item/36325-samsung%E2%80%99s-curved-34-inch-1440p-monitor-up-for-pre-order
  7. http://www.guru3d.com/news-story/nvidia-geforce-gtx-970-and-980-to-have-4gb-initally-and-8gb-models-later.html oh and here is a more recent link. Looks like it will be this month! http://www.gamespot.com/forums/pc-mac-discussion-1000004/gtx-980-8gb-gddr5-allegedly-inbound-landing-in-nov-31672983/
  8. Anyone know if 4GB of video ram is enough for a monitor such as this? Apparently 8GB versions of the GTX970 and GTX980 will be released next month!
  9. I heard some time ago that v2.5 may be out by the end of the year. Any news on this and what improvements might be made? I apologise if this has already been answered elsewhere.. Chris
  10. I currently have a Dell 30" running at 2560x1600 but wonder if my [email protected] and GTX760 4GB will be able to cope with the higher resolution!
  11. There is a mention of the 21:9 aspect ratio working in this post: http://hardforum.com/showthread.php?t=1801170&page=73 I'm thinking about getting a curved 21:9 monitor myself. Very tempting!

  13. Hi all I have an Emuteq GNS 530 ready to use for my GPS screen.http://www.emuteq.com/GNS530.html I am having trouble extending my dispaly to this in Windows 7 with my Geforce 210. I have changed the resolution to 640x480 but no matter what refresh rate I choose (from 59Hz to 120Hz) I cannot get a stable image. Any ideas would be much appreciated! I have emailed support but no answer thus far Chris
  14. Thanks for the advice guys! Yes I will be running in windowed mode. I'd like to use the card for one small screen showing some instruments (from a payware aircraft) and also for this nice piece of hardware http://www.emuteq.com/GNS530.html for the GPS :-) Yeah I did think of a GT610 but if the GT210 will do the job, I'll stick with that as it is also a silent card with no fan. I would rather have a second card for the 2d stuff so it totally frees up my main card to do all the hard work!
  15. I have a GTX760 for my virtual cockpit view but I would like to use a second card for two smaller monitors displaying instruments ONLY (no virtual cockpit). Just wondering if it also needs to be a DX11 compatable card in P3Dv2 as I have a spare Nvidia GT210 I could use. I realise this particular card is not DX11 compatable.
  16. Does anyone know if I need to re-purchase as I have the DVD version :-/
  17. Exciting news from the Mindstar Aviation LLC Facebook page yesterday regarding the Mindstar GNS430/530. Quote - "We plan to release within a week. Yes, it will work within P3D V2."
  18. I am the proud owner of all the Australian airports (purchased for use in FSX). I am thinking of moving over to P3D but can I safely assume I will not have to re-purchase these airports for use P3D V2.0 once the updates are available?
  19. Will the professional version have any extra features that the academic version does not? Chris
  20. I know P3D is a 32bit application, but is there any benifit to having more that 6GB of RAM on my motherboard?
  21. It may be premature but I am wondering if the Mindstar GNS 530 software will work with this hardware from Emuteq http://www.emuteq.com/GNS530.html as I was thinking of shifting over to P3D 2.0 when it is released. Sadly the Reality XP software will not work with P3D :-(
  22. No ATI here, I have a GTX760. So nVidia surround is the only way to do it for this card? If so maybe NVidia will update their software to allow this configuration one day :-/
  23. I am thinking of switching over from FSX to P3D. I have a Dell 30" and can only fit two smaller monitors (spun around 90 degrees) on either side. Is it possible to set the main view to span over the 30” central monitor in landscape and two smaller monitors in portrait orientation? I would also like to compensate for the monitor bezels. Obviously these two smaller monitors would have a different resolution to the 30" in the middle.
  24. I am considering upgrading my GTX460 1GB card to a GTX760 2GB or 4GB card for my PC that is only used for FSX (CPU i7 950 overclocked to 4.0GHZ and 6GB of RAM, Windows 7 64Bit) As I have a 30” Dell monitor at a resolution of 2560 x 1600, I assume a newer/faster video card with more video memory will help. I have ORBX scenery installed, use REX and mainly use GA aircraft only. Apparently some have experienced out of memory errors with 4GB of video memory (as FSX is a 32bit application). Is this a problem? Any advice is really appreciated! Chris
