I recently bought a plane that doesnt have a Garmin GPS and i dont wanna use the FMC. Is it possible to buy GPS software that i can use during a flight? It isnt  necessary that it can be built in a panel, i would just like to have it up while flying.

I bought the GTN750 last week and I can surely recommend it.

A bit extreme, given the price (and the inconsistency in that pricing with Flight 1 products also for P3D).

 

You can add a default GPS to any aircraft quite simply.

Default GPS doesn't have editable flight plans, SIDs, STARs, IAPs, terrain, WAAS, traffic, touchscreen interface, interactive maps that display jetways/airways... There are many reasons to get the F1 GTN.

I just tested it. Its really amazing and i recommend it. The details are so nice! Price is a bit high, but i guess its the worth the price.
