September 6, 201312 yr I have two problems right now but its cause of my lack of knowledge flying 777. 1. I couldn't activate auto-time compression by right-clicking chr button? 2. While doing a RNAV approach, LOC and APP buttons didn't work when i push. What did I miss? Thanks Büke Yolaçan

Thanks for 1, check that the auto time compression is enabled in the CDU for 2, this isn't the 737 :wink: From what I've read, RNAV approaches in the 777 are flown with LNAV/VNAV Side note, I don't even have the 777 yet, but thanks to the knowledgeable people on this forum (i.e Luke, Kyle, and of course Ryan, plus many more) I've already learned a ton (or tonne for Luke and company over on that side of the pond) about it. :Nerd: Steve Caffey

September 7, 201312 yr I tried what I know from CS 777 but seems like it didn't work. Should I choose ILS rather than RNAV? You certainly can fly RNAV approaches, but you just leave it in LNAV/VNAV. You don't have to press APP, but you will have to click the speed knob to get into SPD INTERVENE and control that manually (for all approaches in fact) Note that I don't have the 777 yet, but am basing this on what I read from experts that I have faith in on here.
