Hi guys,

 

Since building my new system based on the i7 3770k, I still cannot get much change out of my FSX installation. I'm still running my old graphics card (GTS450) and was wondering if that might be a bottleneck.

 

Is it worth upgrading the GPU?  Some people say that upgrading to something like a GTX770 will make a real difference but others say that the CPU does most of the work and a new graphics card would be a waste of money.

 

I'd really appreciates some advice here.

Another of my weird analogies, but I'd say your CPU is a BMW being driven around on tires from a Fiat. It'll work, just don't get too carried away on the corners!

 

You don't have to jump up to a GTX770, but I would be looking at some type of 760 or better.

I have a 3770k oc 4.4ghz,  also about a little over a month ago, I bought a gyx 789, before I had a 580gtx, and the graphic card has really made a world of difference for me.  Main improvements, fsx a lot more smoother, and aa is a lot better.
