September 7, 201312 yr Hi all New to FTX and just bought EGHI and also FTX Global. The EGHI install file says I need EU England? Is this the case or does FTX Global do the job? Thanks Matt
September 7, 201312 yr Hello Matt ORBX Airports are designed to fit seamlessly with their Scenery Areas. Yes, you can install the airport, but please be advised FTX Global does not include (Matched Textures, Land Class, Mesh, Elevation Adjustments, etc.) , so you might get some/many errors if you don’t get the UE England Scenery. Cheers Ramón. Time, is the one thing no one can buy.
September 7, 201312 yr Author Thanks. Will try with the global set first then if fails buy the EU.. Kinda thought Global would cover it. Matt
September 7, 201312 yr Matt: Global is just Textures + at the moment some LC, I f you decide to later buy the EU remember this: Before installing EU (Unzip to a user folder not on Downloads) Open FTX Central, set to Global, unstick the 3 checkboxes and apply. Install EU (Will overwrite the latest ORBX LIbs and FTX Central) The fix is to install the latest ORBX libraries (Available in their support page) Cheers. Ramón. Time, is the one thing no one can buy.
September 10, 201312 yr As good a product Global clearly is.....its also very obvious that calling it FTX Global was a mistake. There is still so much confusion. The amount of times I read "Why install / buy FTX Regions when I have Global" is staggering. I actually wonder if the sales of regions will drop purely from misunderstandings around the FSX world? Orbx / FTX need to put some kind of 'Good, Better, Best' visual on the website so people who are not as well educated on the nuances of FSX scenery get what its all about and actually understand what they are purchasing.
