September 7, 201312 yr I've flown the NGX now about 30 times. In the last 5 or so flights I have not been getting the V1, V2, etc to populate (I can manually enter them) in the FMC. I fill out all the weights/ temps/ flaps/ route/ etc for takeoff. Anyone know what I am missing? Thanks! Al
September 7, 201312 yr Did you EXEC after entering the runway for the departure in DEP ARR? Marko Milivojević
September 7, 201312 yr Sounds like you haven't executed the Init Ref after all the other settings. Normally when you enter all the settings correclty the v speeds will show on the PFD, but if you have missed an execute step, the v speeds will not show and you will get the No V Speeds on the PFD. When this happens go back to the INIT REF page in the FMC and then click on execute. THis should solve your problem.
September 15, 201312 yr Al I sometimes have a similar problem, have you entered a SID into the fmc. It seems to be that the FMC needs that bit of info to produce the V1 etc speeds. I am aware that could be a red herring. If it does need that info then is there any work around that will work where an atc add-on sends direct to a initial way point, I am taking off from KJFK with an initial route waypoint of HNNAH and get assigned a runway and fly direct to that waypoint. September 16, 201312 yr You don't have to enter a SID to get the V speeds. It's usually a situation where you missed an execute or changed the info in the FMC after the initial V speeds show and then disappear. Check the execute button - if it's illuminated that means you have missed executing an instruction. The other thing that happens without realizing it is to miss entering specific data in the FMC. Rob
