November 18, 200421 yr Has anyone tried the fswhifps high performance clouds for FSW 2004? If so what are your imperssions? Difference in FPS. Difference in visiability. Thanks Chuck
November 18, 200421 yr yup, using them. They still look fantastic, gained about an extra 5 FPS with 3d clouds maxed.
November 18, 200421 yr Yep, I'm using them. They do give me some extra FPS grunt that I can put to good use on complex scenery and aircraft. Also, I like the more "wispy" look of the HIFPS series. That's what I remember from flying, clouds don't reveal a lot of detail unless you look at them closley. Therefore, it is a good compromise for me.
November 18, 200421 yr Hello,I use and I like them, gained a few FPS with still nice clouds . Emile EBBR Z590 Aorus Elite, i9-11900K 3.5Ghz Nvidia RTX 5070, 32 GB Mem, SSD 3 Tera , 3 monitors Win11 Pro X64 LM P3D V6.1 Little Nav Map Hifisim Nvidia 591.44
November 18, 200421 yr I use them, and like them very much. I use the DXT version as they are smaller, and at least on my video card look better than the small 32 bit ones.
November 18, 200421 yr Commercial Member Hi Alex, Don't need it, since cirrus does not reduce prformance, and the details will appears too much pixel, I have already reduced the large cirrus files in fs sky world 2004 stock.ThanksChris Willis[link:fsw.simflight.com/FSWMenuFsSim.html]Clouds And Addons For MsFs Kind RegardsChris Willis
November 18, 200421 yr Chris,I prefer to have less details in the clouds but leave everything to the right and let active sky do whatever it pleases. I really prefer many cloud layers over cloud detail.Having said that the cirrus kill my performance. I have copied back the dxt highfps and I am back to super performance. With the cirrus from the SkyWorld package I lost 25%-30% of my fps.Or am I doing somethign wrong? And btw thx fr this amazing package.Alex
